Crystal Skulls

The skull is a symbol of the consciousness that survives physical death. Quartz crystal is spirit held in the embrace of matter. Crystals and particularly crystal skulls are well-known for their healing properties. Several such skulls have become well-known such as the British Museum skull and the Mitchell-Hedges skull.

Depending on the trace minerals present quartz crystal may be different colours–rose, smoky, clear or citrine. Crystal skulls may come in any size from a few centimetres across to infant, child, adolescent or full adult size. They may weigh anywhere from a few grams to five to ten kilograms for an adult size skull.
